Datavant, a healthcare data collaboration platform, is seeking a senior-level CDQI Nurse Specialist to join its nursing team in the USA. In this role, you will conduct daily evaluations of inpatient medical records, communicate directly with providers to improve documentation clarity, and ensure accurate code assignment to support healthcare data quality.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform timely and complete documentation reviews for inpatient records.
• Collaborate with physicians and caregivers to support accurate clinical severity and DRG-based payer requirements.
• Query providers regarding missing or conflicting health record details and maintain daily production logs.
• Educate clinical staff to improve coding specificity and adhere to AHA guidelines and coding clinics.
• Meet established production, quality metrics, and confidentiality standards.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• 3+ years of clinical experience in an academic medical center.
• 3+ years of Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) experience.
• CCDS or CDIP certification.
• Successful completion of a CDI skills competency assessment.

The estimated base pay for this CDQI Nurse Specialist position ranges from $40 to $45 USD per hour, with actual pay depending on location, skills, and experience.
