Senior VMWare Cloud Engineer (Remote)

ManTech is seeking a Senior VMWare Cloud Engineer for a fully remote position within the USA. This senior-level IT role supports the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) OCIO/G-6 on the CASTLE-NET Program, providing integrated enterprise IT services for complex engineering challenges.

Core Technical Responsibilities

You will manage virtualized environments with a focus on vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and vRealize Suite. Your day-to-day work involves designing and implementing cloud-based computing solutions, overseeing VMware Cloud Foundation, managing private-to-public cloud migrations, and utilizing hybrid cloud networking (HCX). You will collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure high availability and robust security for cloud-based applications.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering (or equivalent work experience).
• 8 or more years of cloud engineering experience with platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Active Secret security clearance (US citizenship required).
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
• Relevant certifications are required, such as VCP-Cloud Management and Automation (VCP-CMA), VCP-DCV, or an AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Professional Architect certification.

Compensation

The projected compensation range for this position is $117,000.00 to $195,100.00. Final salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience and contract wage determinations.
