Cordance is seeking a senior-level M&A Professional in the USA to join its investment team within the accounting and corporate strategy field. This role focuses on sourcing, evaluating, and executing software acquisitions for B2B SaaS companies, offering direct exposure to C-suite executives and the full transaction lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities for the M&A Professional Role

• Source, screen, and evaluate potential acquisitions while building a pipeline of opportunities through discussions with founders, operators, and investors.
• Build and analyze robust financial and operating models to assess unit economics, business performance, and support investment decisions.
• Manage transaction execution across financial, commercial, product, technology, legal, and HR workstreams.
• Develop investment memorandums and deal recommendations for executive and board review, alongside supporting integration planning.
• Conduct market, competitive, and industry research to inform sourcing strategies and investment theses.

Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field with strong academic performance. Applicants need 5+ years of relevant M&A experience within private equity, investment banking, corporate development, or transaction advisory, alongside demonstrated expertise in financial modeling and leading diligence processes. Exposure to software or technology-enabled businesses is strongly preferred, as is direct experience sourcing and evaluating acquisition targets. The position offers a salary of $140.
