Mural is seeking a Principal, User Researcher for a senior-level design role based in the USA. In this position, you will establish Mural's UX research practice and lead foundational and strategic research to help shape the next generation of collaboration experiences.
This is primarily an individual-contributor role focused on uncovering deep human collaboration insights to drive strategy and long-term vision. You will lead mixed-methods research—combining qualitative depth and quantitative rigor—to explore user needs, behaviors, and motivations. Your work will involve translating ambiguous questions into clear learning plans, building accessible artifacts like journey maps and frameworks, and presenting strategic recommendations to executive and cross-functional audiences.
Alongside hands-on research, you will serve as a coach to help scale the UXR discipline at Mural. Responsibilities include mentoring designers in research best practices, establishing repeatable standards across teams, and partnering with product and design leadership to shape the company's long-term research vision.
The salary for this position is market competitive. Please refer to Mural's official application channels for further details and to submit your application.
