About the Role: Senior Account Director Digital Solutions / Client Partner in Freiburg

Virtual Identity AG is seeking a Senior Account Director Digital Solutions / Client Partner (m/f/x) based in Freiburg im Breisgau to lead client relationships and drive commercial growth. This is a senior-level management position focused on client strategy rather than operational project delivery or disciplinary staff management. We are looking for someone who thrives on owning client partnerships and guiding teams toward collective goals without being bogged down in administrative reporting lines.

Your Core Responsibilities

In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients. You are expected to move beyond processing briefings, working instead to uncover and solve your clients' underlying business challenges. Together with the Client Partner team, you will be accountable for the agency’s annual order volume, turning strategic insights into signed offers.

You will also shape account team rituals to foster a dedicated, ambitious atmosphere, ensuring the team is aligned to deliver results that meet client needs. As a Senior Account Director Digital Solutions / Client Partner, your success is measured by the strength of your client partnerships and the commercial growth you cultivate.

What We Are Looking For

To succeed in this role, you should possess a strategic mindset and a genuine enthusiasm for digital solutions. We require candidates to have:

• A completed university degree in engineering, economics, or a comparable qualification.
• At least 6 years of professional experience in client service, account management, or consulting, gained either on the agency side or in-house.
• Proficiency in English and very high-level written and spoken German skills.
• An aptitude for building connections, listening closely to client needs, and identifying what matters most in a business context.
