Role Overview

In this full-time position reporting to the Head of People, you will manage a pod of early-talent recruiters plus fractional HR coordination support. You will be accountable for how fellows get hired and employed within Claude Corps, a fellowship placing early-career technologists inside nonprofits, government agencies, and public-interest organizations to build AI solutions. Cohort 1 places 100 fellows, scaling toward 1,000 in year one and 10,000 by year three.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the pod by managing fractional early-talent recruiters and HR coordinators, setting priorities, and scaling team capabilities.
• Own screening and selection by running the funnel from application review through offer using the program's selection rubric.
• Own the employer-of-record lifecycle, including offers, e-sign, background checks, I-9 and work authorization, payroll setup, and benefits.
• Integrate AI into operations for screening support, scheduling, candidate communication, onboarding packets, compliance tracking, and reporting.
• Partner with Claude Corps program managers to handle performance concerns, employee relations, and placement support.
