Senior Technical Writer

Ping Identity is seeking a remote or hybrid Senior Technical Writer in the USA (with hybrid options in Denver, CO or Austin, TX) to join their documentation team within the media and technology sector. This senior-level role offers a salary of $95,000–$115,000 and requires a Bachelor's degree along with 5+ years of professional experience.

Reporting to a Technical Documentation Manager, you will design and maintain core documentation for cloud-based services and on-premise software within a Docs-as-Code environment.

Role Responsibilities

• Partner with engineers and product teams to write clear content for end-users, developers, and admins.
• Work with AsciiDoc and GitHub, leveraging AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot for drafting and style checks.
• Advocate for documentation during product planning and provide constructive edits for peer content.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Jira, Confluence, and version control tools.
• Experience with documentation publishing pipelines like Jenkins and Antora.
• A dual-audience mindset to craft content for both human readers and AI tools.

Additional preference is given to candidates with programming experience in Java, Bash, Python, or JavaScript, and those with a strong background working directly in a Docs-as-Code environment as a Senior Technical Writer.
