OQ is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Liwa Plastics Operations team based in Oman. This role, designated as Sr./Area Engineer Electrical Maintenance for the NGL (Natural Gas Liquids) facility, offers an opportunity for early-career professionals to contribute to the maintenance functions of a significant industrial operation. As an entry-level position, this role is well-suited for candidates who have recently completed their academic training and are looking to apply their technical knowledge in a practical, real-world setting.
To be considered for this position, applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. As this is an entry-level engineering role, OQ is looking for candidates with between zero and two years of professional experience. The position requires a focus on maintenance operations, and the successful candidate will be expected to support the electrical integrity and functionality of the NGL infrastructure.
This position involves working within the RPI (Liwa Plastics) stream. While the specific daily duties will be defined upon onboarding, the role is situated within the maintenance function and will involve engagement with budget control processes, specifically relating to OPEX and CAPEX management. Candidates should be prepared to operate within a structured industrial environment where safety and operational reliability are priorities.
