Natera is seeking a senior-level nursing professional for a Sr Phlebotomist position based on-site in Norfolk, Virginia. In this clinical and office environment where scrubs are required, you will accurately collect blood samples via venipuncture and finger sticks, prepare specimens for laboratory testing, verify patient identities against test requests, and maintain strict infection control.

Key Responsibilities

• Label specimens properly, document quality control activities, and resolve unclear test requests with physicians, pathologists, or nursing staff.
• Print patient reports, handle billing inquiries, and arrange courier pickups through services such as FedEx and MedSpeed.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and complete all mandatory Natera training to support overall laboratory operations.

Qualifications and Benefits

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least five years of phlebotomy experience. A bachelor's degree is preferred, and a valid phlebotomy certification is required where mandated by state regulations. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and adherence to healthcare standards are essential.
