Support Analyst, MDS Clinical — PointClickCare
Okay so PointClickCare — if you've never heard of them, they basically run software for nursing homes and long-term care facilities. Not the sexiest corner of tech, but genuinely one of those spaces where the work actually matters. Like when a nurse can't pull up a patient assessment because something's broken in the system, that's not just annoying, it's a problem. So yeah, the stakes are real here.
They've been doing this long enough to build something serious — 30,000+ provider organizations using their platform, biggest dataset in the long-term care space apparently. Still privately held which usually means less corporate nonsense, and they're founder-led which can go either way honestly but at least suggests someone still cares about the product.
The job itself is support. First line, meaning you're the person who picks up when something breaks. The MDS side specifically — Minimum Data Set, it's a clinical assessment thing mandated by the federal government for skilled nursing facilities — so the people calling you are clinical staff, not just regular office workers. That changes the energy a bit. These are busy people, sometimes stressed, and they need answers fast.
You'd be triaging cases, solving what you can, escalating what you can't, and keeping track of everything in a CRM. Create and maintain help articles for customers to self-troubleshoot minor issues so they don’t need to call in every time. Shifts anywhere from 8am to 8pm depending on coverage needs.
They want someone comfortable with AI tools already — not "willing to learn eventually" but actually using them. US-based only, remote but some travel expected to their Mississauga or Salt Lake City offices for onboarding and team stuff.
Honestly a decent role if you want to get deeper into health tech without jumping straight into a clinical or engineering position.
