Customer Care Representative

Assurant is hiring for a Customer Care Representative role. Remote position, full-time, and you'd need to be based in Arizona or Nevada.

Pay is $15.03 to $27.75. Where you land in that range depends on your experience. Nights and weekends get a bump in pay which is decent.

The job itself is straightforward. Customers call in or email, you help them. That's really it. No selling anything, no cold calls, no trying to upgrade someone's contract. Pure inbound support. You answer questions, fix problems, write down what happened, and sometimes follow up later. They want every customer to feel genuinely helped by the time they hang up.

You need a high school diploma minimum. Some kind of customer service background matters — call center, banking, insurance, anything like that. You'll be on a computer the whole time while talking to people so you need to be comfortable doing both at once. Because it's remote you need real internet, not just okay internet. 25 Mbps down and 6 up at least. And a quiet room where nobody's going to walk in and make noise behind you.

Two or more years in customer service puts you ahead. Remote work experience helps too.

Training is paid and done online from home when you start. Benefits kick in on day one which most companies don't do — health, dental, vision, time off, holidays. After six months you can get up to five thousand dollars a year toward tuition if you want to study alongside the job.

Hours are 40 a week. Schedules rotate and shift based on what the business needs at the time. You have to be open to working as late as 9pm Eastern and weekends aren't off the table.
