Distributed Systems Engineer

Axiom is seeking an entry-level Distributed Systems Engineer for an engineering role based in the USA. While the team has a strong preference for working in-person at their New York City office, remote candidates are also considered. This position requires a PhD or specialized diploma and 0 to 2 years of experience. Compensation includes a market competitive salary paired with equity.

Distributed Systems Engineer Responsibilities and Tech Stack

In this role, you will build Rust-based rollup nodes and sequencers to deliver zero-knowledge proof-based products on-chain. Your responsibilities include designing secure, efficient systems and making pragmatic technology choices that enable rapid development for a small team.

• Fluency in Rust, C++, or another performant backend language (the team works primarily in Rust)
• Experience deploying and monitoring high-uptime production applications in the cloud using Docker, Terraform, or Kubernetes
• Experience working within a large production codebase with a strong security mindset and attention to detail

Additional Experience and Applying
