Lead the Engineering Team at Ashby in the USA

Ashby is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager - Americas for a senior-level position based in the USA. Reporting directly to the Co-Founder and VP of Engineering, this role sits within our engineering department as we plan to double the team over the next year. Ashby produces the Ashby All-in-One platform, serving prominent customers such as Notion, Linear, Shopify, and Snowflake with tens of millions in ARR and strong year-over-year growth.

We operate by giving engineers the freedom and agency to write product specs, make product decisions, and work without having projects broken down into individual tickets. As a hands-on manager, you will initially manage three to five engineers and hire three to five more across specializations like Product Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, and Design Engineering.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

• Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of engineering experience, with a background as a former engineer who has built impressive products and teams.
• Team Mentorship: Coach individual contributors on product and technical specs, helping them scope work and deliver large, loosely defined projects independently.
• Technical Engagement: Maintain your coding and debugging skills by shipping small bug fixes, resolving customer issues, and improving developer experience while staying off the critical path.
• Department Initiatives: Drive company-wide projects such as optimizing pull request reviews, designing thoughtful interviews, and improving data generation for demo accounts.
• Salary: $100/month.
