Engineering Manager, Revenue

Discord is looking for a Senior Level Engineering Manager, Revenue based in the USA to lead a full stack squad within our Revenue organization. In this role, you will manage a team of full-stack engineers working across web, Android, and iOS to deliver premium user experiences that drive company revenue while playing a vital role in the future of gaming.

Key Responsibilities and Leadership

• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data Science, Marketing, 3P Partnerships, and UX Research to drive vision and roadmaps.
• Lead, hire, coach, and grow a team of engaged full stack engineers.
• Guide technical direction, make scalable architectural tradeoffs, and write code when needed.
• Foster a fast-paced, results-driven culture focused on 80/20 thinking, rapid iteration, and first-principle resourcing decisions.
• Partner with organizational leadership on strategic planning and uphold workplace philosophies.

Requirements and Background

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree and meet the following experience criteria:

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• 2+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager.
• Strong collaboration skills with product managers, designers, data scientists, and cross-functional partners.
• A commitment to delivering delightful end-user experiences and helping team members succeed.
• A hands-on approach to problem-solving and removing blockers.

Bonus points are awarded for gaming industry familiarity, growth and monetization experience, data-driven experimentation, consumer product lifecycle knowledge, and familiarity with Discord features. This full-time position features no formal requirement to work from the office, and the US base salary range is $248k to $341k plus equity and benefits.
