Engineering Manager, Security Detection & Response

Apollo.io is seeking a senior-level Engineering Manager, Security Detection & Response to lead our Security Detection & Response team in a fully remote setup across the USA. This is a hands-on engineering role within our rapidly growing SaaS organization, which has raised approximately $250 million to date and is trusted by over 500,000 companies globally.

Role Requirements and Background

• Bachelor's degree required
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Startup-minded leadership approach with the ability to move from concept to production quickly
• Experience managing remote teams, driving Python-based tooling, Git workflows, and CI/CD practices
• Background overseeing Panther detections, AI-assisted workflows, and end-to-end security observability

In this position, you will build and scale a high-performing remote team that ships detection systems, automations, and investigation tools at startup velocity. You will balance technical depth with operational ownership, leading complex and high-severity incidents while driving Python-based tooling and Git-based workflows.
