Fluke Health Solutions, part of the Fortive organization, is seeking a mid-level Medical Health Physicist in the USA to provide comprehensive medical health physics services and act as Radiation Safety Officer for regional hospitals. This healthcare role involves supporting client safety, regulatory compliance, and diagnostic equipment testing across various medical facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Test diagnostic medical equipment, including mammographic, radiographic, and ultrasound systems.
- Conduct radiation shielding surveys and evaluate lead content in personnel protective equipment like lead aprons.
- Provide radiation safety consulting, perform quarterly audits, and attend radiation safety committee meetings.
- Travel independently to client sites to support healthcare professionals and address radiation-related concerns.
- Assist with regulatory compliance, coordinate with radiology directors, and qualify for MQSA physics testing within your first year.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Imaging, Medical, or Health Physics, or an equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with radiation machines.
- Active pathway toward obtaining CHP, ABSNM, ABMP, or ABR certifications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative, quick-to-learn approach.
