Senior Security Operations Engineer Responsibilities
- Design and improve detection and alerting controls to reduce noise and enable rapid response.
- Build, test, and automate incident response playbooks, runbooks, and triage frameworks.
- Lead in-depth investigations, root cause analysis, and digital forensics to strengthen resilience.
- Engage in threat intelligence and proactive threat hunting to identify new tactics and techniques.
- Own incident handling from detection to resolution while defining operational metrics for continuous improvement.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust Clearance.
- Solid experience working within cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Demonstrated AI proficiency, meeting at least the Explorer level by using AI daily to boost personal productivity.
