Role Overview

As a Staff Engineer in the USA, you will work at the core of the Dutchie platform to improve system speed, reliability, and technical direction. This senior-level engineering role involves setting architectural standards, mentoring other engineers, partnering across teams to solve complex integrations, and incorporating AI-native workflows into everyday development.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8+ years of engineering experience building and running production systems at scale.
• Deep, hands-on background in at least one modern backend stack, with familiarity across .NET/C#, TypeScript, Ruby, React, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, and MongoDB.
• Experience designing scalable data models across relational and non-relational stores.
• Routine use of LLMs and agentic tools to research, diagnose, code, and ship solutions safely and efficiently.
• Strong collaboration skills to scope customer-facing features, mentor peers, and tackle cross-functional challenges.
