How to verify a real overseas job (Pakistan)

Frequently asked questions

Is it normal to pay a visa fee for an overseas job?

Legitimate recruitment has regulated, receipted costs through licensed promoters — but a "visa fee" demanded over WhatsApp to a personal account is the single most common scam in overseas recruitment. Real employers usually cover visa costs for the workers they sponsor, and legal agent fees are paid at the office, with receipts, after verification.

The recruiter showed me a visa copy — is that proof?

No. Scammers routinely send edited or reused visa images. A visa is only proof when YOU verify it yourself on the official government portal of that country using the visa/application number.

What should I do if I already paid a scammer?

Save every proof — chat screenshots, payment receipts, numbers used. Report to the FIA Cybercrime Wing (complaint at their website or nearest circle) and, if an agent was involved, to the Bureau of Emigration. Also report the number to your payment service. Acting fast matters most.

How do I check if a recruitment agency in Pakistan is licensed?

Ask for their OEP (Overseas Employment Promoter) license number and verify it in the promoters list on beoe.gov.pk. No license number = walk away, no matter how convincing the office looks.

Are jobs posted on this website verified?

We aggregate jobs from established job platforms and official announcements, and we never charge anyone to apply. Even so, always apply through the official channel mentioned in each listing and never pay money to any individual for any job you find anywhere — including here.
