UAE Overtime Calculator 2026 — Know Your Overtime Pay

Calculate your overtime pay under the UAE Labour Law (Article 19 of Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021). Normal overtime is paid at your basic hourly wage plus 25%, and overtime worked between 10 PM and 4 AM is paid at your basic hourly wage plus 50%.

Basic salary only — allowances are not counted for overtime.

Standard is 8 hours per day (48 per week).

Overtime worked during the day or evening (before 10 PM).

Paid at a higher rate. Does not apply to shift-based workers.

Divide your basic monthly salary by 30 to get the daily wage, then divide by your normal daily working hours (usually 8). Overtime multipliers are applied to this basic hourly wage.

Certain categories, such as employees in senior supervisory or managerial positions, can be excluded from the working-hours provisions under the Executive Regulations. Check your contract and role classification.
