DevOps Engineer

PSI CRO is seeking a Senior Level DevOps Engineer to join our expanding IT team in Latvia. As a privately-owned Contract Research Organization with 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, we support clinical trials on a global scale. We are looking for an experienced engineer to build, maintain, and optimize our infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes across a diverse range of projects, including ERP, BPM, and document management systems.

Technical Scope and Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for the health and scalability of our deployment environments. Your daily work will involve:

• Designing and managing CI/CD pipelines and supporting application hosting environments.
• Deploying and scaling applications within Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and building Docker images.
• Developing automation scripts using PowerShell and Bash.
• Implementing monitoring and observability solutions, including Grafana, Prometheus, and the ELK stack.
• Collaborating with development teams to ensure reliable release cycles, utilizing your understanding of .NET (C#) application builds.
• Troubleshooting system issues and configuring IIS web servers.

Requirements

We require a candidate with a strong foundation in system architecture and administration. You must hold a BSc/BA in computer science or a relevant discipline and possess at least 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer. Additional requirements include:

• Full working proficiency in English.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and Windows/Linux administration.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and SSL/TLS.
• Working knowledge of MS SQL for diagnostics.
