Principal DevOps Engineer – Europe

Zartis is hiring a Principal DevOps Engineer to lead a founding-stage initiative in the IT sector. We are partnering with one of Europe's largest digital-native groups to build an internal agentic platform that enables safe, observable, and reusable AI-driven workflows at marketplace scale. This platform will serve major digital brands including Leboncoin, Kleinanzeigen, Marktplaats, Subito, and Mobile.de.

Because this platform does not yet exist, you will play a central role in defining its architecture from the ground up. You will be part of a founding platform cell within an AI House, tasked with making agentic engineering the default across all marketplace teams. We offer a market competitive salary for this senior-level role.

Core Responsibilities

• Build and operate secure agent runtimes, including sandboxing, runtime isolation, network policies, RBAC, and secrets management.
• Design integration surfaces with MCP-style adapters to connect agents with CI/CD, ticketing, documentation, and cloud systems.
• Establish evaluation pipelines using golden tasks, graders, and release gates to ensure agentic workflow correctness.
• Implement observability systems to track telemetry, token usage, and cost-per-workflow.
• Create reusable scaffolding, such as starter kits and templates, to support rapid adoption by development teams.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5+ years of professional experience. We are looking for candidates who demonstrate the following:

• A proven track record of shipping internal developer platforms that real teams depend on, including management of SLAs and on-call rotations.
• Hands-on experience designing and operating secure execution environments at production scale.
• A history of building integrations across polyglot estates.
• An instrumentation-first and SRE mindset, where reliability and observability are standard practice.
