Welo Global is seeking an English to Spanish (LatAm) for Life Sciences Linguist to join their remote media team on a mid-level basis. This role involves translating and reviewing critical documents for pharmaceutical, medical device, and clinical research organizations operating in global markets.
English to Spanish (LatAm) for Life Sciences Linguist Responsibilities
- Translate clinical research, regulatory, and pharmacovigilance documents from English to Latin American Spanish.
- Perform Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) on safety content and copy-edit translations for accuracy, tone, and consistency.
- Meet strict, non-extendable turnaround times for time-sensitive materials.
- Work within client CAT tools such as XTM or Phrase, and use Track Changes in Microsoft Word.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Applicants must hold a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies (or an equivalent degree), OR a graduate qualification in another field paired with at least two years of full-time professional translation experience, OR a minimum of five years of full-time professional translation experience.
- Must have at least two years of practical translation experience specifically focused on life sciences, clinical trials, and medical documents.
- Familiarity with CAT tools and Microsoft Word Track Changes is required.
