Backend Developer (.NET/Azure)

NTT DATA is hiring a Mid Level Backend Developer (.NET/Azure) for a 1-year freelance IT assignment with the possibility of extension. This is a 100% remote opportunity based in LATAM, requiring candidates to work in the EST time zone. The freelance rate range for this position is $27 to $28 per hour USD, determined by relevant experience.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

As a Backend Developer (.NET/Azure) in LATAM, you will design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using C#, .NET, and ASP.NET Core within a Microsoft Azure cloud environment. Your day-to-day work will involve building application integrations, writing automated unit and integration tests, participating in code reviews, and troubleshooting production incidents. You will also contribute to CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with product owners, architects, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable enterprise applications.

Required Qualifications and Technical Skills

• Bachelors degree
• 3+ years of backend software development experience using modern .NET technologies
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and integrating with enterprise applications
• Experience working in cloud-based environments, preferably Microsoft Azure services such as App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, and messaging tools
• Database development experience using Microsoft SQL Server or Azure SQL, Entity Framework Core, and LINQ
• Understanding of cloud security, API development with OpenAPI/Swagger, and software engineering best practices
