Data Engineer (Intern) IT Role at Mactores

Mactores is seeking a Data Engineer (Intern) for a remote IT internship position available anywhere. This apprenticeship focuses on data platform modernization, where you will help retire legacy warehouses and bring data platforms to production on AWS using the Aedeon agent platform. As an intern, you will write real pipeline code and collaborate with business leads, analysts, data scientists, and engineers.

Responsibilities and Technical Skills

• Write efficient code using technologies such as Spark or Apache Beam.
• Explore new technologies and techniques to creatively solve business problems.
• Collaborate across engineering and business teams to build data products and services.
• Deliver projects with the team on schedule and keep customers updated.
• Bring exposure to Apache Spark, ETL concepts using PySpark and SparkSQL, and SQL queries and stored procedures.

Candidates with prior experience in AWS EMR, Apache Airflow, DataOps Engineering, or relevant certifications in AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Cloudera, or Hortonworks will be preferred. Applicants are required to hold a Master's degree. While specific salary figures are not provided, compensation is market competitive.
