Principal Software Architect in IT (EMEA, Remote)

Testlio is seeking a senior-level Principal Software Architect to join their team as a hands-on individual contributor shaping application and platform architecture. This is a 100% remote IT role open to candidates residing in the United Kingdom, Poland, or the Czech Republic. The position requires a Master’s degree and 7+ years of experience (with the source also noting a requirement of 15+ years of hands-on software development experience building cloud-native platforms), backed by a $300 annual learning stipend.

Your Responsibilities and Impact

• Architect, develop, and deploy scalable, production-grade services across the core Testlio platform.
• Author architectural standards and reference patterns to decouple the codebase into modular services.
• Partner with the Director of Engineering to execute frontend framework consolidation.
• Design with security, cost-efficiency, and ISO 27001 expectations in mind.
• Integrate secure AI/LLM patterns into customer-facing surfaces with strict operational guardrails.
• Advise executive, product, and engineering teams on major technical tradeoffs and strategies.

Requirements and Culture
