Senior Product Designer (Design) in Australia

UpGuard is scaling its AI-driven cyber risk posture management platform and is currently hiring for two senior-level Product Designer headcounts across distinct teams in Australia, with both roles focused on 0-1 phase initiatives. Backed by a recent US$75M Series C, the company builds cybersecurity SaaS tools that integrate threat intelligence, security ratings, and agentic AI.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

In this senior Product Designer position, you will lead design strategy, vision, and execution for end-to-end product experiences within a rapidly growing platform. Depending on team alignment, you will either disrupt an established domain or build a new 0-1 product experience addressing AI-related risks. You will partner with Product Managers, engineers, data specialists, and subject matter experts to turn complex compliance and risk management concepts into intuitive user interfaces. Responsibilities include leading generative research, running user interviews, prototyping at various levels of fidelity, refining designs using customer feedback and analytics, and contributing to the UpGuard design system.

Candidate Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience: 5+ years of commercial product design experience, featuring a track record of setting design vision and shipping intuitive user experiences.
• Core Skills: Strong interaction and visual design craft, demonstrated through a portfolio showing clear thinking about user impact and measurable outcomes.
• Tools & Systems: Strong experience using Figma and contributing to or evolving design systems with engineers and designers.
• Working Style: Proactive, low-ego, and collaborative approach with strong communication skills for working smoothly across remote teams.
