Tala is seeking an IT professional for a remote-first Senior Level SDET II position available Anywhere. As an AI-native credit infrastructure company backed by over $500 million in funding, Tala has distributed more than $7 billion in capital to over 13 million customers globally.
Responsibilities for the SDET II Role
- Develop test automation suites for microservices and integrate them into regression and release processes.
- Support all releases and communicate issues to product teams in a timely manner.
- Deliver tools to help test integration with third-party services such as Payment Rails, SMS/Email, KYC, and Analytics.
- Integrate automated test execution into the software development process and collaborate with the Squad Lead on rollout strategies.
- Work with cross-functional teams including Product, Data, Credit, and Business Development to identify automation areas.
- Maintain, review, and propose improvements to existing frameworks, tools, and processes while continuously learning new tools.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience building test tools and frameworks using Groovy, Kotlin, Java, or Scala, along with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, and Linux or Mac OSX.
- Hands-on experience developing with AI coding assistants and agents such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or OpenAI Codex.
- Track record of designing, building, and refining custom AI skills, workflows, and autonomous agents.
- Experience with the BDD testing paradigm and frameworks like Spock, JBehave, or Cucumber.
- Knowledge of microservices, automation, Agile development processes (Scrum/Kanban), and version control systems like GitHub or GitLab.
- A Bachelor's degree is required.
