Zartis is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer - Gen AI for an IT role based in Europe. This senior-level position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of professional experience. You will join a distributed engineering team building and evolving production-grade applications powered by Generative AI within the tech industry.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Integrate Generative AI and LLM capabilities, including Amazon Bedrock and patterns like RAG, tool calling, context management, prompting, and knowledge indexing, into production systems.
- Operate cloud-native architectures on AWS across serverless and container-based environments, utilizing EC2, ECS/EKS, and Kubernetes.
- Address production challenges related to response quality, latency, cost efficiency, security, traceability, and observability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to take AI-powered capabilities from design through to reliable delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years of relevant experience, including extensive background building backend applications with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Demonstrable experience deploying Gen AI capabilities and production LLM applications within the AWS ecosystem.
- Strong hands-on AWS cloud architecture experience, covering serverless and containerized workloads.
- Proven ability to apply strong software engineering principles to scalable, secure, and resilient backend systems.
