Lemon.io is currently seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our marketplace, connecting experienced IT professionals with startups across the US and Europe. We operate a remote-first model and are looking for skilled individuals based in the Americas, Europe, Asia, or Oceania to join our network.
As a Senior Data Scientist on our platform, you will work directly with clients, most of whom have technical backgrounds. We handle the business side of client acquisition and rate negotiation, allowing you to focus on your projects. We respect your seniority and do not utilize micromanagement or screen trackers. You are free to choose a schedule that suits your needs, with options for async communication or minimal overlap with team working hours.
Beyond technical proficiency, you must have advanced English communication skills to discuss business tasks, justify technical decisions, and handle client calls effectively. Because you will be working remotely without supervision, strong self-organizational skills and reliability are essential. We require the ability to onboard promptly and start delivering results quickly.
Please note that this is a contracting arrangement rather than a direct hire position; we do not offer standard employment benefits or visa assistance. Compensation is market-competitive and depends on your specific skills and experience.
If you have 4+ years of experience but your stack differs from the primary requirements, we have multiple projects available for Senior Developers across various specializations, including AI Engineering, MLOps, and Blockchain.
