virtual7 GmbH is seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer (m/w/d) to join their Customer Clusters Healthcare team, driving digitalization within the public sector and statutory health insurance environment in Germany. This senior-level IT role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant professional experience. Work is fully remote with flexible working hours.
Your Responsibilities and Technical Environment
- Develop and enhance modern backend applications using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Design, implement, and integrate REST APIs, working with SQL and DB2 for data management.
- Implement complex requirements within the statutory health insurance (GKV) sector.
- Write automated tests, ensure software quality and security, and handle sensitive patient data.
- Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders through technical alignment and documentation.
What virtual7 GmbH is Looking For
- Extensive experience in Java backend development alongside strong knowledge of Spring and Spring Boot.
- Practical project experience with BITMARCK 21c ng and familiarity with the GKV environment (ideally including LRB, ELW, or EEL).
- Solid expertise in REST web services, SQL, and DB2.
- Very fluent German language skills at C2 level (written and spoken).
- Nice-to-have skills include microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Kafka, Liquibase, FHIR, and agile methods like Scrum or Kanban.
