Staff Software Engineer (SRE)

Phantom is looking for a remote Staff Software Engineer (SRE) to join our IT team and help connect the world to the freedom of open markets. Operating as a fully remote company of around 180 people, we build self-custodial tools that serve tens of millions of users worldwide across Solana, Ethereum, Polygon, and Bitcoin.

Infrastructure and SRE Responsibilities

In this senior-level role, you will play a critical part in scaling our multi-chain infrastructure. Your day-to-day work will involve:

• Managing and scaling Kubernetes clusters on AWS EKS
• Implementing Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform or Pulumi
• Configuring crypto nodes and scaling database infrastructure for terabytes of blockchain data
• Monitoring system reliability using Datadog and OpenTelemetry
• Collaborating with backend and product teams to support feature development

Qualifications and Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in an SRE or Software Engineer role
• A Bachelor's degree
• Strong production experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, and IAM
• Solid background in Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code tools
• Experience with observability platforms like Datadog or OpenTelemetry
