Ad Sales Lead, Central

Duolingo is seeking an Ad Sales Lead, Central to join its sales team in the USA, specifically based in Chicago to open and lead the Central region. This senior-level individual contributor role focuses on building Duolingo Ads, the direct ad business supporting the platform's hundreds of millions of learners.

Role Responsibilities and Requirements

• Own the Central region’s direct ads strategy, revenue outcomes, pipeline development, and forecasting.
• Cultivate senior relationships with brands and agencies to close high-impact deals, from prospecting through negotiation and expansion.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Account Management, Ad Ops, Product, Design, and Engineering.
• Require a Bachelor's degree.
• Require 8+ years of experience in direct digital ad sales with a track record of building senior client relationships and closing new business.
• Require success selling premium video and native/custom ad formats in digital, mobile, or consumer app environments.

The salary for this position is $140,000. Exceptional candidates will bring established regional relationships, 0-1 ads business building experience, go-to-market strategy background, and familiarity with managed-service and programmatic sales.
