AI Senior Engineer (Vision)

Able is currently seeking an AI Senior Engineer (Vision) for a senior-level IT role based 100% remotely within LATAM. As the organization transitions into an AI-native company, this position focuses on building the "eyes" and "brain" of systems by extracting complex data from visual documents and orchestrating how that data is used by Large Language Models.

Core Responsibilities

• Build pipelines to extract data and understand layout, charts, and visual context using Vision-Language Models like GPT-4V and Claude 3.5.
• Own the application logic layer using LangChain or LangGraph to build agents and chains that query, reason, and generate responses.
• Handle native PDF processing using tools like PyMuPDF and layout parsing to preserve structure.
• Craft complex prompts and control flows for accurate model interpretation of financial charts and layouts without hallucinations.
• Apply a cost-optimization mindset through batch processing and model selection.

Requirements and Background

Candidates must hold a Master’s degree and bring 5+ years of experience to the team. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required. Ideal applicants should demonstrate deep experience in LLM Orchestration, multimodal AI integration, document intelligence, PDF processing mastery, and the Python ML stack (PyTorch or TensorFlow), with nice-to-have experience in fine-tuning and domain knowledge in Real Estate or Finance.

This IT role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week during normal business hours. Compensation includes payments made in USD, market competitive pay, 18 days of paid time off per year, observance of local holidays, and an annual break, alongside ongoing AI training and knowledge-sharing.
