Cobalt Core Pentester

Cobalt is looking for a Mid Level Cobalt Core Pentester to join their community on a freelance, part-time basis located Anywhere. This role focuses on the farming field, bringing together experienced security professionals who collaborate on pentests and share a drive to stay up to date on the latest vulnerabilities.

Role Requirements and Responsibilities

• Bring 4+ years of pentesting or similar mid-level experience, with a deep understanding of application security and OWASP top 10 vulnerabilities.
• Perform manual penetration testing across web applications, APIs, internal and external networks, and mobile applications for iOS and Android.
• Collaborate directly with clients as part of a pentest team and document assessment results in detail.
• Demonstrate a professional demeanor, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
• Certifications such as CREST, PenTest+, GPEN, CEH, OSCP, AWS, CISSP, eCPPT, eWAPT, OSCE, or OSWE are considered a plus.

Application and Onboarding Process

The selection process for the Cobalt Core is highly selective and handled on a rolling basis. Applicants need only apply once, and preference is given to those referred by existing Cobalt Core pentesters. Qualified candidates may move through an initial chat with a representative, a technical skills assessment, and platform setup that includes a background check and ID verification. Salary is market competitive.
