Contract Software Engineer - WebCompat Tooling (Dashboards and Reporting), Firefox

Mozilla is seeking an entry-level Contract Software Engineer to join the Firefox team focusing on WebCompat Tooling (Dashboards and Reporting) in Canada, France, Germany, or the UK. In this IT role, you will build and improve internal tooling for the WebCompat team, including dashboards and the broken-site-report screenshot pipeline used to triage and prioritize site breakage, making the program faster and more data-driven.

Role Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Build and improve WebCompat dashboards for triage, reporting, and metrics.
  • Improve the broken-site-report screenshot capture and pipeline.
  • Collaborate with the WebCompat team, including QA, to turn reporting and triage needs into reliable tooling.
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree and 0 to 2 years of experience.
  • Demonstrate solid web development skills in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Python, and Django, alongside experience building dashboards and data views.
  • Bring comfort with tooling, automation, and web services, plus a self-directed working style and good written communication skills.

Preferred qualifications include familiarity with WebCompat workflows and Bugzilla, experience with screenshot or automation pipelines, and experience with Machine Learning.
