Cyber Security Engineer II

Ping Identity is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer II for their IT team in the UK. This senior-level role requires a candidate with a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, offering a market competitive salary.

Responsibilities for the Cyber Security Engineer II

• Build out and deploy security automation and harden security configurations.
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of incident response playbooks and reliable engineered solutions.
• Perform incident response, coordination, and support detection engineering.
• Assess system designs and changes while identifying areas for security improvement.
• Participate in a weekly on-call rotation and collaborate cross-functionally to support roadmap delivery.

Requirements and Qualifications

Applicants must have experience with Security Orchestration and Automation Tooling, bespoke scripting, SIEM systems (ideally Google Chronicle and YARA-L), cloud environments (preferably AWS or GCP), container technologies like Kubernetes and Docker, and Endpoint Detection and Response tools. Candidates should also have a background leading cross-functional projects and coordinating incident response. Experience with Golang, reverse engineering, and threat intelligence is considered an advantage.
