TELUS Health is currently seeking a mid-level Counsellor for a permanent, full-time remote healthcare role based anywhere in the UK. Working 35 hours per week, you will join the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) team to deliver accessible mental health support through telephone and video sessions, helping clients build resilience using a brief solution-focused counselling model.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive assessments and short-term counselling interventions.
- Identify client needs and coordinate referrals to appropriate resources.
- Maintain accurate case notes in compliance with clinical policies.
- Manage risks related to child welfare, safeguarding, and self-harm.
- Participate in regular team meetings, clinical supervision, and professional development.
Requirements
- Education: Intermediate level, with a minimum Diploma Level 7 in Counselling or equivalent (if not accredited), including 100 hours of organizational placement.
- Professional registration: Current accredited membership with a recognized body such as the BACP, or equivalent.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of post-qualifying experience with at least 450 completed clinical hours.
- Technical requirements: High-speed internet for remote work and proficiency in MS Office and communication software.
