Candidates may be located in the UK or USA, though employment is restricted to certain eligible countries and GiveDirectly is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas in the U.S. or U.K. at this time.

This IT internship requires a Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience. The position offers a salary of $107,070 and centers on protecting cash transfers from fraud by turning raw operational, payments, and enrollment data into clear insights. You will report to the Senior Manager of Internal Audit while maintaining a dotted reporting line to the Director of Data.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze fraud risk trends by mining enrollment, payment, survey, and field-operations data to identify patterns, anomalies, and emerging fraud typologies across programs and geographies.
• Design and oversee fraud-risk indicators by building, validating, and maintaining recurring monitoring with central data and operational control owners.
• Identify data quality issues in information collected by Internal Audit and help design process improvements to resolve them.
• Embed data-driven thinking into Internal Audit design and translate findings into clear briefs and presentations for country teams, operations leadership, and senior management.
