Data Analyst - SQL / Databricks

Tenable, the Exposure Management company trusted by over 40,000 organizations globally, is hiring a mid-level Data Analyst - SQL / Databricks to join our IT and business intelligence organization in the USA. This position offers a salary of $72,500. Role Overview and Key Duties

In this IT role, you will turn operational and customer data into actionable reports and dashboards that drive business decisions. You will partner directly with internal teams, such as sales compensation, to gather reporting requirements and build user-friendly data assets. Your primary hands-on work involves writing SQL views and building dashboards within Databricks. A key part of the job is context engineering, where you add structured metadata and descriptions to tables and columns so data is easily discoverable by AI tools like Claude. You will also monitor data quality and maintain documentation.

Requirements and Location

• Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree paired with 2 to 4 years of experience in a data analyst, reporting, or business intelligence role.
• Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of SQL (select statements, joins, aggregations, filtering) and basic experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or a comparable cloud data platform. Experience building visual dashboards using Databricks, Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Work Schedule: A hybrid schedule requiring the ability to commute three days a week to either our Columbia, MD office or our Boston, MA office.
