Bayesian Health is seeking a senior-level Director of AI/ML to lead our machine learning organization in the USA. In this IT leadership role, you will set the technical vision and strategy for our early-stage startup, which is focused on making healthcare proactive by providing clinicians with real-time data insights.

Role Expectations and Responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and scale a world-class AI/ML team while establishing technical standards and a culture of ownership.
• Partner with Engineering to architect scalable data warehousing, pipelines, and ML infrastructure for rapid prototyping and deployment.
• Contribute directly to critical IC modeling, system evaluation, and debugging in a hands-on, scrappy environment.
• Translate complex clinical workflows into technical roadmaps and communicate impact to stakeholders, customers, and investors.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, alongside 8+ years of experience shipping ML products and 3+ years leading ML teams at early-stage startups. Applicants need deep technical expertise in production ML systems, data infrastructure, and experience working in healthcare or similarly regulated industries. Preferred backgrounds include 0-1 product development in clinical settings and familiarity with healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, and EHR. Salary for this position is market competitive.
