Forward Deployment Engineer, AI - Canada Remote
PerfectServe, a leading provider of clinical communication and physician scheduling solutions, is seeking a senior-level Forward Deployment Engineer, AI for a remote IT position based in Canada. With over 400 employees and a nationally recognized healthcare communications platform, we are expanding our Professional Services organization to deploy our AI product to new customers efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
This is a core, high-impact role focused on reducing the effort it takes to bring each customer live while continuously optimizing and extending our AI offerings. Your responsibilities include:
- Helping configure and rollout customers of our existing AI voice agent.
- Building and running evaluation suites to validate behavior, catch regressions, and tune prompts for new deployments.
- Developing new features and fixes for the core product.
- Optimizing latency, inference cost, and hallucination guardrails.
- Managing model evaluation, benchmarking, observability, cost controls, and security/PHI handling constraints.
- Partnering with Product and Customer Success to turn customer requirements into working deployments, owning go-live, post-launch monitoring, and debugging.
Qualifications and Requirements
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree along with the following professional background:
- 3+ years of software engineering experience with strong Python backend skills.
- 1+ years of production experience deploying and supporting GenAI systems at scale using LLM APIs.
Cloud-native architecture experience, preferably with AWS.
- Experience in regulated or security-conscious environments.
- Strong product-minded systems thinking, comfort with ambiguity, and executive communication skills.
- Experience with voice or conversational AI is considered a plus.
