Full-Stack Software Engineer, Internal Services IT Internship in Canada and USA
Serve Robotics is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer, Internal Services for an IT internship position available in Canada and the USA. In this role, you will build and improve internal deployment tooling to help ship robot software safely and quickly at fleet scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, test, and maintain internal web services and user interfaces supporting software release workflows across frontend, backend, cloud infrastructure, and embedded software.
- Collaborate on the full software lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operations.
- Improve observability with real-time status, logs, timelines, and audit trails to monitor rollout health and debug failures.
- Strengthen CI/CD, automated testing, release safety checks, and deployment governance features like role-based access and auditability.
- Support production rollouts and participate in the on-call rotation for internal services while writing clean, maintainable code.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with ownership of production systems or internal tools.
- Strong backend experience utilizing Node.js or TypeScript-based services.
- Strong frontend experience using TypeScript and a modern web framework, with a preference for Vue or acceptable experience in React.
- Experience working with cloud platforms, with GCP preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver quality software with and without GenAI, manage end-to-end problem areas, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
Salary is listed at $115. Additional consideration will be given to candidates with background in deployment systems, release tooling, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Kubernetes, or fleet management.
