GenAI Engineer Role at NTT DATA (LATAM/Remote)

NTT DATA is hiring a mid-level GenAI Engineer to join our team for a one-year assignment. This is an engineering position focused on the design, deployment, and management of AI and Machine Learning solutions within enterprise environments. We are looking for candidates who can operate effectively in a fully remote capacity across Latin America, specifically Mexico, Brazil, Peru, or Chile, working in the EST time zone. Alternatively, this role can be based onsite in Washington, D.C.

As a core technical contributor, you will move solutions from experimentation and prototyping through to full production deployment. Your work will center on both classical machine learning and modern Generative AI, including the development of agent-based systems, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, and LLM-driven workflows.

Technical Requirements and Responsibilities

To qualify for this role, you must hold a Bachelor’s degree and possess 2–4 years of relevant experience. We are seeking engineers with strong hands-on expertise in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, specifically Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure Machine Learning, and Azure AI Search. You will be expected to implement MLOps and LLMOps practices, ensuring that all AI solutions are scalable, secure, and governed.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Developing agent-based architectures using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, and MCP-style orchestration patterns.
• Designing prompt engineering strategies, embedding workflows, and vector search implementations.
• Training and deploying predictive ML and GenAI models, including managing feature engineering and model registries.
• Integrating AI solutions with enterprise systems, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Embedding Responsible AI principles—such as fairness, transparency, and human-in-the-loop controls—into every project.
• Collaborating with data engineers, architects, and security teams to maintain compliance and operational standards.
