General Counsel / Head of Legal (m/w/d) Management Role in Berlin

GALVANY, a profitable Greentech startup based in Berlin, is seeking a senior-level General Counsel / Head of Legal (m/w/d) to shape the future of climate-neutral living. Backed by recent seed funding of 10 million euros secured in spring 2026, the company develops smart, accessible heating solutions including heat pumps, battery storage, and smart metering. In this management position, you will lead the entire legal function, report directly to the CEO, and act as a central sparring partner for the leadership team.

Your Responsibilities

• Take total responsibility for the legal function and its strategic expansion.
• Build, scale, and refine legal structures, processes, and modern tools including AI solutions.
• Manage external law firms and oversee budgets, priorities, and stakeholders.
• Advise on commercial, regulatory, and operational day-to-day matters, including expansion, compliance, and risk management.
• Build and prospectively lead a growing internal legal team.

Your Profile

Candidates must hold a degree in law (Volljurist:in or comparable legal background) with a bachelor's education level requirement and 5+ years of professional experience. You should bring multiple years of background as an in-house counsel—ideally within a dynamic startup environment—alongside experience managing complex projects, building structures or teams, and a pragmatic, business-oriented mindset.
