Senior Business Engineer - Canada (Engineering)
Reddit is looking for a Senior Business Engineer to join its Ads Business Engineering team in Canada. Operating at the intersection of engineering, product, sales, and business development, this senior-level role delivers technical expertise and solutions that empower technology partners, agencies, and advertisers to integrate with Reddit’s advertising platform.
Core Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted technical advisor and solutions architect for strategic partners and direct advertisers, guiding API integration and adoption.
- Design and prototype proof-of-concept solutions in Reddit systems or client and partner codebases.
- Collaborate with partner engineering teams to optimize performance, troubleshoot issues, and close integration gaps.
- Lead onboarding, testing, pre-launch support, and complex integration escalations.
- Represent the technical voice of partners internally to influence product and platform priorities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5+ years of software development experience owning end-to-end technical projects and cross-organization coordination.
- Hands-on coding expertise in modern programming languages like Python, Java, JavaScript, or Node.js, focusing on backend or API development.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, OAuth2 / OpenID Connect, and modern SDK patterns.
- Effective communication skills with experience presenting complex technical and business concepts.
