Senior IT Architect (m/w/d)

virtual7 GmbH is looking for a Senior IT Architect (m/w/d) for Architecture to join their Customer Cluster Healthcare on a senior level. In this remote homeoffice role, you will help drive the digitalization of the public sector by shaping the technical future of healthcare solutions, specifically within the statutory health insurance (GKV) environment.

Key Responsibilities and Architecture Tasks

• Develop and design modern solution architectures for Java-/JEE-based enterprise applications
• Define architecture standards, technical guardrails, and take responsibility for core architectural decisions
• Ensure IT security, data protection, and strict compliance when handling sensitive healthcare data
• Evaluate and integrate innovative technologies, including cloud and container tools like Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker, alongside AI solutions
• Consult with project teams and stakeholders, bridging complex technical requirements with practical implementation

What You Bring

Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree and bring 5+ years of relevant professional experience. You should have a solid background in complex application design, integration architectures (such as REST or SOAP), and the GKV or broader healthcare sector. Fluency in German at a C2 level is strictly required. Additional familiarity with Secure Coding, UML, iSAQB, or AI in regulated fields is considered a strong plus.
