Remote is currently hiring a Senior Payroll Implementation Specialist - NL & Belgium to join its accounting team on a remote basis across Europe. In this senior-level role, you will help organizations navigate global employment compliance by owning end-to-end client onboarding and managing payroll implementations for the Netherlands and Belgium.
Role Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of direct, hands-on payroll experience in the Netherlands (including legislative knowledge of loonheffing, premies WW/ZW/WIA, Zorgverzekeringswet, and the 30% ruling) and Belgium (including ONSS/RSZ, Dimona, DmfA quarterly cycles, and sector CLA structures)
- Proven payroll implementation experience managing projects from client kick-off through go-live
- Direct working experience with AFAS for Dutch payroll, and experience with EasyPay for Belgian payroll
- Fluent written and spoken English, with Dutch or French as a strong advantage
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills suited for a fully remote, asynchronous environment
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the subject matter expert and primary point of contact for Dutch and Belgium payroll implementations, covering EOR and Global Payroll
- Participate in sales calls, handovers, and client kick-off meetings
- Plan, execute, and monitor implementation projects through parallel runs and the first month of live payroll before handing over to Payroll Operations
- Maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and complete records of configurations and standard operating procedures
