MaintainX is looking for a Senior Software Developer in Test, Quality Platform to join its IT team in Canada on a senior level. In this role, you will build shared testing infrastructure, frameworks, and AI-assisted tooling used across the engineering organization to support the world's leading AI-powered maintenance and asset management platform.
Role Responsibilities and Expectations
- Build and evolve the shared quality platform, test automation frameworks, and developer tooling.
- Design AI-assisted test authoring infrastructure to reduce test creation time.
- Own CI integration standards and improve build reliability across engineering teams.
- Design test harnesses for AI-powered product capabilities like health checks, graceful degradation, and adversarial testing.
- Identify and eliminate systemic test debt and flaky tests.
- Partner with Quality Advocates, product engineering teams, and SRE to improve testing strategy.
- Evaluate emerging AI testing tools and drive adoption.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelors degree.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience building production-grade test automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, or similar.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals for writing, debugging, and maintaining production application code.
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and diagnosing flaky test suites.
- Experience building shared developer tooling or testing infrastructure.
- Familiarity with AI development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.
- Ability to own systems end-to-end and mentor engineers.
- Expert level of spoken and written English.
