Senior Software Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure)

YipitData, a leading market research and analytics firm for the disruptive economy, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure) for an IT role based in the USA. This senior-level position requires a Masters degree and 4+ years of relevant software, infrastructure, SRE, platform engineering, or DevOps experience.

Cloud Infrastructure Responsibilities and Tech Stack

In this hands-on senior position reporting to the Head of Cloud Infrastructure, you will modernize, scale, and operate shared cloud technologies. Candidates must be available to work East Coast hours.

• Design, build, and operate shared cloud infrastructure using AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Databricks, Cloudflare, and related cloud-native tools.
• Drive SRE and DevOps initiatives to enhance system reliability, scalability, observability, deployment safety, and operational readiness.
• Develop reusable infrastructure modules, automation, and self-service workflows to improve the overall developer experience.
• Define service-level indicators, objectives, monitoring, alerting, and error-budget practices.
• Participate in incident response, improve disaster-recovery readiness, and optimize CI/CD workflows.
• Partner with application, Data Platform, and Data Engineering teams to support workloads and improve cloud efficiency through capacity planning and resource optimization.

Candidate Requirements

To qualify for this senior software engineering position, applicants must hold a Masters degree and bring at least 4+ years of hands-on experience utilizing AWS, Kubernetes, Datadog, Databricks, and Terraform.
